Adult Swim Picks Up ‘Black Dynamite’ Series for Spring 2012 Debut

by Afiya XApril 6, 2011

Remember the 2009 action adventure comedy Black Dynamite starring Michael Jai White and directed by Scott Sanders? Spearheaded by Carl Jones (The Boondocks), an animated series based on the feature has been picked up for a spring 2012 debut on Cartoon Network’s Adult Swim.

The series further chronicles the exploits of the central character, ex-CIA agent and full-time ladies man Black Dynamite, and his crew as they avenge the death of Black Dynamite’s brother against kung-fu masters, drug-dealing pimps and The Man and his crew.

The series will be animated by Titmous, produced by Ars Nova Entertainment, and will feature the voices of Michael Jai White, Tommy Davidson, Kym Whitley and Byron Minns.
